Teaching Factory is structured under the office of Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic and International which was developed and established in Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka to provide real-life environment simulation of productions and services in everyday industrial practices.

Objectives of Teaching Factory

• To provide engineering, technology, education and promotion services in the field of Advanced Manufacturing and Computing Technology to industry and society.
• To provide required comprehensive and integrated training facilities to UTeM’s undergraduate and postgraduate students for various product production processes.
• To provide training platform in Advanced Manufacturing and Computing Technology at UTeM.
• To be an excellent reference center in the field of Advanced Manufacturing and Computing Technology in the country and region.

Purposes of Teaching Factory

• Planning and organizing learning activities in the teaching plan so that it can meet the needs of academic programs without affecting the effectiveness of factory operations.
• Forging smart cooperation with industry to ensure that teaching plans can achieve its objectives sustainably.
• Planning and organizing business activities through Teaching Factory services provided to the industry.
