The Teaching Factory (TF) at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka was honored today to receive a courtesy visit from the top management of Nehrasia Group Sdn. Bhd., led by Yang Berbahagia General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Hj Abdul Aziz bin Hj Zainal (R), the company’s Principal Advisor. This working visit marked a proactive step toward strengthening synergy between academia and industry players in driving national technical excellence and innovation.

The Teaching Factory (TF) of Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka today welcomed a visit by Andy Shaw, from Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom, in conjunction with his involvement in the university’s Guest Lecture Program.
The visit provided an opportunity for Professor Dr. Andy Shaw to gain first-hand insight into the industry-based learning ecosystem implemented at the Teaching Factory UTeM. During the session, he was taken to visit several key facilities, including the drone simulation facility supporting training and advanced technology research activities, the operations of UTeM spin-off companies driven by innovation, as well as the student learning environment involving those currently undergoing industrial training.

The Teaching Factory (TF) of Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka received a visit from a delegation of universities, institutes, and higher schools from Indonesia involving a total of 93 participants.
The visit aimed to provide direct exposure to the implementation of the Teaching Factory as a learning platform based on industry, innovation, and technology at UTeM.

Teaching Factory Involvement in STEM Programs at Sekolah Berasrama Penuh Integrasi Selandar

Teaching Factory industrial training students participated as facilitators to support the STEM program activities. Their involvement provided hands-on exposure in program management while enhancing communication, leadership, and self-confidence skills.
The program was also joined by Quality Control Manager, Prof. Madya Ts. Dr. Norfariza binti Ab Wahab, together with the industrial training students involved.
At the same time, TF UTeM participated as an exhibitor by setting up an interactive booth featuring Drone Learning, 3D Scanner technology, and quiz activities, attracting students and giving them the opportunity to experience technology in a more practical and interactive way.

A collaboration meeting session held on 15 April 2026 successfully brought together Teaching Factory Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka and Faculty of Electronic and Computer Engineering Technology with industry partners, YC Global House and Felicity Solar, to discuss the potential for strategic collaboration in talent development and professional skills enhancement.
The discussion focused on the proposed establishment of a training hub aimed at providing students with professional certifications relevant to current industry needs, particularly in the fields of energy and technology.

Teaching Factory UTeM received a courtesy visit from the President of Kelab Rakan Udara Malaysia (KRUM), Azhar Selamat.
The meeting aimed to discuss opportunities for strategic collaboration, particularly in the coordination of joint programs involving aerospace industry expertise and the technical facilities available at Teaching Factory.
Through this discussion, both parties identified strong potential in strengthening skills training and talent development through the organization of high-impact activities in the future.

Academic Visit by Komunitas Dosen Multidisipliner Indonesia (KDMI) to Teaching Factory UTeM

Teaching Factory Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka was honoured to receive an academic visit from a delegation of Komunitas Dosen Multidisipliner Indonesia (KDMI) during their official visit to the university. The delegation consisted of 62 lecturers, Master’s, and PhD students representing 35 universities across Indonesia.
The visit aimed to provide exposure to the implementation and best practices of the Teaching Factory model at UTeM, particularly in strengthening university-industry collaboration, application-based learning, and entrepreneurship development. A total of 22 participants attended a special session at Teaching Factory featuring technology demonstrations in Drone, 3D Printing, Aerocomposite, Solar, and Technopreneurship.
