Train & Place Program – Semiconductor (NEXUS)

The “Train & Place: Semiconductor (NEXUS)” program offers a fast-track pathway to employment, combining four months of industry training with guaranteed job placement in selected semiconductor companies. Open to SKM 3, Diploma, and Technical Degree graduates aged 18–30, the program provides a monthly allowance of RM2,000–RM2,500 and is fully sponsored for training fees. With only 80 seats available for the August, September, and October 2025 intakes, participants will gain valuable hands-on experience in the semiconductor sector and secure career opportunities immediately after completion. This initiative supports both skills development and direct industry employment, contributing to TF’s revenue and industry network growth.

Singapore-Based ST Engineering Holds Recruitment Session at TF

Teaching Factory UTeM welcomed representatives from ST Engineering, a leading Singapore-based aerospace company with global operations in Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the United States. The visit was held to conduct recruitment interviews for “Technician” and “Aircraft Painter” positions, targeting trainees from PT3 Sdn. Bhd., a key TF training partner. This engagement provided PT3 trainees with direct access to high-value international employment opportunities while strengthening TF’s industry network and positioning in the aerospace sector.

Teaching Factory UTeM proudly welcomed a delegation of 25 representatives from SME-Corporation Malaysia on 22 August 2025. The visit aimed to showcase TF’s facilities, ongoing collaborations, and innovative projects. Through this engagement, SME-Corp’s Business Counsellors (BC) gained firsthand insight into TF’s initiatives, which they will share with entrepreneurs nationwide. Participants also visited E&E-based start-up companies operating within TF, including PT3 Aerospace Consultation, and experienced hands-on activities such as 3D technology demonstrations, drone simulations, and real drone operations. The visit marked an important step in strengthening partnerships and expanding industry visibility for Teaching Factory UTeM.

Closing Ceremony of Energy & Souvenir Presentation with SME-Corp Malaysia

Teaching Factory UTeM held the closing ceremony of the ENERGY program on 22 August 2025 at Dewan Jamuan Canselori, UTeM. The event was graced by Professor Ts. Dr. Azmi Bin Awang Md. Isa, General Manager of Teaching Factory UTeM, who expressed appreciation to the SME-Corporation Malaysia Business Counsellors (BC) for their active participation and collaboration. A token of appreciation was presented to mark the successful partnership between Teaching Factory UTeM and SME-Corp Malaysia in organizing the program. The ceremony was also attended by YBrs. Professor Dr. Zulkifilie Bin Ibrahim, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International), who took the opportunity to engage with participants during lunch before Friday prayers.
